My husband Brad and I are about to celebrate our 10th anniversary. In our 10 years of marriage, we’ve spent a lot of time
arguing about the dishes dreaming of international travel. Our list of ‘places to see before we die’ has grown longer every year and we’ve decided that it’s time to stop dreaming and start doing.
Since we aren’t independently wealthy and we’re both relatively responsible adults, we need a way to fund our travels. Fortunately, people all over the world send their kids to school which means there are jobs for teachers all over the world.
Brad and I have done a lot of research and have decided to accept positions at a private boarding school in Shenzhen, China. The school would like us to arrive by August 7th, which means we have less than a month to get our family ready to move to the other side of the ocean.
Looking at the calendar and our massive To-Do list could give anyone a minor anxiety attack, but, fortunately, I am a skilled procrastinator who works well under pressure.
Plus, I have two kids to
get in my way help me, so it shouldn’t be hard to get everything done in time, right?
Since I know everyone will have a gazillion questions about this adventure, I’m hoping to use this blog as a way to
save myself from having to answer the same question 500 times keep everyone informed. When I get a moment, I’ll write a post that will, hopefully, answer some of the questions I’m sure you all have.
For now, I hope you’re all as excited as we are!
